I just got off the phone with a patient. She called to express her genuine gratitude for the care team in her home. If I may, I would like to share some of the things she said. Additionally I want you to know she sent me a text of her “view” of her living room. She has been bedbound and in her bedroom since June! Today is the first day since then she has been in her living room!
All statements from the patient:
“They changed my life! They are absolute miracle workers!
They worked together, navigated how my wheelchair would get from the bedroom, down the hallway and into the living room and then they just poured me into my new adjustable bed.
They had humor and encouragement the whole time! I felt so nervous, even like I was going to throw up, but they were patient and even kept a bucket close by in case I did! (But I didn’t)
